WATER AND SEWAGE APPLICATIONS

  • SURFACE AREATORS

    Surface aerators are units for mixing and aerating standing water. The purpose of aeration is to supply the microorganisms living in the water with oxygen. Centrifugal aerators or roller aerators are used for this purpose. Surface aerators are mainly found in sewage treatment plants, where they supply the bacteria in the aeration tanks with air and oxygen. Surface aerators with drives from Premium Stephan are also used in aquaculture such as shrimp farming.

  • SCREW CONVEYORS

    Screw conveyors consist of a stationary trough as supporting element and a driven screw shaft as pushing element. The worm shaft is usually supported separately by fixed or track bearings and a floating bearing. For very long versions, the worm shaft is also equipped with an intermediate bearing. Depending on the performance requirements, different gear concepts are selected for the drive. Premium Stephan offers efficient gearboxes in hollow and solid shaft versions, as parallel shaft or inline and bevel gear versions for every application. Whether horizontal or inclined conveyors, whether indoor or outdoor, you will find Premium Stephan gearboxes in all these applications.

  • DEEP AREATORS

    Deep aerators with underwater drive are used to generate a horizontal flow of wastewater in the sewage basin. The microorganisms living in the water are supplied with air via pipes. The flow ensures soft mixing and prevents solid particles from settling at the bottom of the basin. The discharge of aerosols at the water surface is also avoided in this way. Coaxial helical gear units from Premium Stephan are used in large numbers to drive these deep aerators. 

  • VERTICAL DEEP AREATORS

    Vertical deep aerators are used for aeration of deep water basins. The mixer and drive are connected by a shaft, the length of which is adapted to the depth of the basin. Air and thus oxygen is supplied to the water at the bottom of the pool via pipe. Due to this design, the drive is located outside the water and is easily accessible for maintenance purposes. Flat geared motors from Premium Stephan are used in many countries as drives for deep aerators.
